Testing – Botek selects Getac rugged tablet to power RFID Bin Weighing Solution

The announcement further extends the highly successful technology partnership between the two companies, which has seen Getac supply more than a thousand F110 devices to Botek over the past six years.

Headquartered in Ulricehamn, Sweden, Botek specialises in vehicle-mounted RFID bin management solutions. When refuse trucks empty a bin, Botek’s solution reads the bin’s RFID tag and measures/logs the weight of the refuse within it, enabling service providers to accurately bill clients according to the amount of waste collected. Getac’s F110 tablet sits the heart of this solution, running driver software and automatically transmitting operational directly from the cabin of the vehicle to the service provider’s offices.
