Testing – General Measure Check Weigher Helps Mendale Home Textile Build its Smart Production Line

General Measure Technology Co. Ltd. (China) – General Measure was invited to Mendale Home Textile factory to visit the production line after CW-60K check weigher built-in with a label printer.

Background:

Mendale is China's famous home textile brand, which has 2900 stores in China, and over 300 stores in Europe. For the duvet, one of the important qualifying conditions is the weight, which means the weight of every duvet product needs to be double-checked to ensure quality. To avoid the shortage of products, the traditional weight check is done by manpower. The worker used to use a platform scale to weigh and mark the weight.

Problem:

Each production line has hundreds of box duvet products. It’s uncertain that every product is checked or not. There is no record for management. In addition, it is low efficient yet high human cost.

Solution:

Building a smart production line is the trend. At the end of the production line, it is integrated with a check weigher, labeling machine, and sealing machine. The packed duvet set will be automatically checked by check weigher. The weight info will be sent to the MaaS system and labeling machine via RS485. The labeling machine will tag the product's information including weight on the box. Every tag has one unique bar code ensuring the accuracy of the information. Integrating check weigher in production line increase the efficiency and protect brands reputation.
